Deck Extension with new Stairs in Bellingham, WA

We added a 4-foot extension to the existing deck and new stairs to an existing deck in Bellingham, WA. Working with a structural engineer for posts and footings, we secured the permits for the project with the City of Bellingham. We installed Timbertech Silver Maple composite to match the existing decking as close as possible on both the deck expansion and down the stairs. Stair risers were 1x8 primed cedar. Railings were custom made with Western Red Cedar with black powder coated 4x4 galvanized wire infill. A new concrete landing pad was poured at the base of the stairs.
