Low Maintenace PVC Decking

 

Most people we talk to are looking to increase the enjoyment of their deck and reduce the amount time spent on maintenance.  They want a deck that looks great without having to apply a new finish every year.  PVC decking is a perfect fit for the home owner looking for low maintenance, eliminate staining (both the intentional application of stain and accidental spills) and have a beautiful deck that they can be proud of for years to come.

PVC decking is made from 100% plastic with no wood products or cellulose fillers.  This means that there is nothing to absorb grease or oils that would stain a composite or wood deck.  This lack of cellulose also means that there is nothing for mildew or mold to feed on, significantly reducing the chance that you will ever have an issue with either of these causing discoloration of your deck. 

PVC decking is much lighter than composite decking making it a great choice for second story decks and resurfacing of existing decks.  PVC decking will not crack, or splinter and can be heated and bent to create curved decks, and accessories like benches that cannot be made with any other decking material.

 

Although the initial cost of A PVC deck is usually higher than a wood deck once the cost of maintenance is taken into account a PVC or composite deck will have a lower cost of ownership and the difference paid back in 2-5 years.
